If your centre is running the CIE course, we'd like you to set up a blog hub from which all of the student blogs can be easily accessed. This is goodpractice for your teaching as it means you have a central record of where all the blogs are and can easily access them to check on progress and when it comes to assessment. For the moderator, it makes life so much easier, as they only have to type in one URL and from there can click on each candidate's work. Handwritten blog addresses often cause problems, as they can be hard to read and sometimes contain small errors which make the blogs hard to find.
Here are the hubs for three centres which offer the course. You can see how simple it is to navigate these!

For the first two centres, both AS and A2 work is linked from the hub. The third centre has a separate hub for the A2 work.
We have selected the blogs from one candidate from each centre, so that you can see different approaches that work well.

Maria's blog, hosted on Wordpress, contains both her AS and A2 work. It is organised into separate sections within each project, working back chronologically to show her progress.
As you will see, there are a lot of AS research and planning posts which really show how she has developed her thinking. these are presented attractively and logically as evidence of the journey of her project.
In her coursework development section, we can see how the different elements of the construction process take shape. though her final magazine in Issuu has unfortunately not embedded properly, we nonetheless can see the final magazine in the images at the top of her blog.
Her creative critical reflection uses a different format to address each of the four questions.
At A2, she uses a similar framework to dsplay all aspects of her project.

Nikita's uses blogspot for the AS film opening. Though it is harder to find the finished film, as it is embedded further down the blog, this is nonetheless, another well organised chronological account of the project that makes good use of a range of formats.
The very entertaining film opening is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUN2xqfQALo
The creative critical reflection includes video discussion, prezi and screencast with voiceover. The process is articulated in a series of earlier posts as is research and planning.

and http://prouds8.wixsite.com/mediacomponentthree
Proud uses different platforms for AS and A2 (she is not linked from the hub, as she was an A2 candidate at the time).
At AS, on blogger, she has more than 60 posts, with a great deal of variety, very attractively presented. Though she has actually responded to more than the four set questions for the creative critical reflection, this is fine as she has more than met the requirements of that part of the task. There is huge detail in all areas and a really creative approach to research and planning and the 'journey' of the whole project.
At A2, using Wix, she continues with this creative approach but varies the format quite considerably, breaking the project down into sections rather than the chronological approach of blogger. There is a huge amount of varied pre-production work on the music video and ancillary tasks, a full account of the construction process making very strong use of a range of creative tools and a detailed and thorough creative critical reflection. This is outstanding work in all respects.
